The Best Tour Guides in Barcelona!

Teresa is first and foremost an islander, then a performer, and then a historian. Luckily for us, she’s a guide as well. Raised mainly on the beautiful island of Ibiza, her soothing presence will make you feel instantly at ease. Curiously, her native language is English. You should not be fooled by Teresa’s sweetness; she’s tough as nails – don’t try to pull over any fast ones!

Exposed to foreign cultures from a young age, including trips to Gambia and Russia as a teenager, Teresa loves meeting people from all over the world. Her true love affair is with the Medieval World and its culture and customs, with a marked interest in Jewish history. Ask her anything relating to the architecture, music, arts & crafts, poetry and dance of those times, and she’ll surely impress and delight you with her reply. She also makes a point of explaining how those ancient customs are reflected in today’s society: “In order to know the man of today, we must first know his past”. With Teresa, you shouldn’t miss the chance to experience the quaint, local neighborhood of Gracia (once a separate village, incorporated into Barcelona only 100 years ago). Marvel as she tells you her tales of the birth-place of the “Rumba Catalana”, one the many dances in her repertoire. If you’re lucky, she’ll tell you about the time she ate a ‘tapa’ of camel’s tongue!
